The Branson/Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce & CVB and Taney County Partnership continues to share important updates and information during COVID-19 to help your business create plans to reopen and navigate the current economic landscape.
Though it may sound trite, we are moving forward and getting through this crisis together. Legislation is being passed to support business and funding is beginning to become available to support economic development and workforce development efforts.
For example, there’s the Relaunching America’s Workforce Act which proposes funding existing workforce development programs at the local level; the 650+ funders distributing more than 3,000 grants to those missions affected by the coronavirus; and state responses to appropriate additional funding for coronavirus-related tasks.
We will continue to share information about funding availability and local opportunities for participation in various initiatives as info becomes available.
If your company is hiring, remember to post your local job openings online to the Branson Chamber jobs board at www.onpointmo.com and to the Missouri Job Center jobs board at www.jobs.mo.gov. Both of these resources are free and staff is available to make referrals and provide guidance for your business’ unique hiring needs.
Should you have COVID-19 related questions or feedback, please call the Chamber’s direct line Mon – Fri, 8am – 5pm at (417) 334-4084 and visit the COVID-19 Business Resources Page to access timely information, including the Reopen Branson Peer to Peer Guidelines.
